What this tool does
Paste any public X post URL and Keep renders a clean image of the tweet, with the author, handle, text, attached image, timestamp, and engagement counts. You pick the theme, background, and aspect ratio, and download a PNG ready to share on Instagram, LinkedIn, a Slack channel, a slide deck, or a blog post.
Pick the aspect that matches where it is going
- Auto fits the canvas exactly to the tweet card. Good for embedding inside an article.
- Square pads the card inside a 1:1 canvas. Used for Instagram feed and LinkedIn carousel slides.
- Landscape pads into 16:9. Used for Twitter Cards, LinkedIn posts, and YouTube thumbnails.
- Portrait pads into 9:16. Used for Instagram Stories, TikTok, and Reels.
Theme matches where it will be read
Light renders as the default X feed on web. Dim matches the dim theme on x.com. Dark matches the OLED-black theme. The text, border, and muted colors are sampled from the current X color palette, not a generic "dark UI" palette, so the image looks native wherever you share it.
Transparent PNG for slide decks
Pick the transparent background swatch and the canvas exports without a fill. Drop the PNG into Keynote, Figma, or a Notion page and the surrounding canvas shows through. This is the right choice if the slide has a branded background you do not want to fight.
Frequently asked questions
How do I screenshot a tweet without the UI clutter?
Paste the tweet URL into the box above. Keep fetches the post, renders it as a clean card, and exports a PNG with no sidebar, no suggested posts, and no banner. You pick the theme, the background, and the aspect ratio.
Can I customize the background behind the tweet?
Yes. There is a solid off-white and charcoal, three gradient presets, and a transparent option. Transparent PNGs drop into any slide deck, blog post, or figma canvas without clashing.
Can I make an Instagram-ready tweet image?
Pick the square aspect. Keep centers the tweet card inside a 1080 by 1080 canvas with the background of your choice. For Stories, the portrait option gives you a 9:16 export that fills the full screen on mobile.
What resolution does the export come out at?
The base export width is 1200 pixels, and the canvas is drawn at 2x on retina displays. That works out to roughly a 2400 pixel wide PNG on most laptops, which is plenty for any social share, a blog post, or a slide.
Do I need permission to share someone else’s tweet as an image?
X lets you embed and quote public posts. Using a tweet image to share an idea or comment is normal. Using it to imply endorsement, or reposting deleted content against the author’s wishes, is not. When in doubt, tag the author and link back.
Can I make an image of a deleted tweet?
Not from this tool. Keep fetches tweets live through X’s public endpoints. If a tweet has been deleted, the lookup returns a not found error. The archive / Wayback Machine is better for deleted posts.
Why is the avatar missing on some tweets?
The avatar is loaded from pbs.twimg.com at render time. A small number of profile images have strict cache rules that block cross-origin canvases. When that happens the card renders with a placeholder circle, and the rest of the card exports normally.
Save the whole tweet, not just a picture of it
Keep saves every post you bookmark on X as clean Markdown with the full text, images, and author. Connect your X account once and every new bookmark syncs automatically, so the ideas you want to share later are searchable, not scattered.
